arriving November 2026

A gentle place to land.

An AI companion for caregivers, for the exhaustion nobody sees, the grief that starts before anyone is gone, and the moments you can’t say out loud to anyone. Not therapy. Just a friend who gets it, whenever you need her.

Alanna
always here
Hey Amy. I know you’re holding a lot. What’s heaviest right now?
My husband just told me his oncologist says the chemo isn’t working
Oh, Amy. That’s the kind of sentence that changes the shape of a room. I’m so sorry. Do you want to talk through what came up when he told you, or do you just need to sit with it for a minute without having to make sense of anything?

41%
report feeling lonely

A 45% increase in just ten years. Almost every resource built for these people is logistical, meal trains, medication schedules, shared calendars.

Almost nothing exists for the part that actually breaks people: the guilt, the grief that starts long before anyone dies, and the specific loneliness of being the person everyone asks about someone else.

What’s Inside Alanna

Everything you need in one place, built around how caregivers actually cope.

Alanna
A companion who’s always listening. Talk through the exhaustion, the guilt, the 2am thoughts you can’t say out loud anywhere else. No judgment, no waiting room, just someone who gets it whenever you need her.
Daily Affirmations
Ten affirmations a day, made for the specific weight of caregiving. Small moments of encouragement and grounding to help you reframe the hard days and remind yourself you’re doing more than you think.
Allies
Small, pseudonymous peer support circles for caregivers, moderated and safe. You’re not the only one up at 2am. Connect with people who are carrying what you’re carrying, without ever sharing your name or face.
Journal
A private space to brain dump, process, and stay organized. Free-write the way you would in a diary, or use the calendar and task tools to keep appointments, medications, and to-dos in one place so caregiving logistics stop living in your head.
A Note from the Creator

I built Alanna because I needed her and she didn’t exist.

I was the caregiver for my partner Chris through cancer. Before that, my mother. Before that, my sister. And before any of it, I worked at a nonprofit veteran’s service organization, surrounded every day by families holding someone together.

What I remember most is not the hospitals. It’s the drive home. Sitting in the car in the driveway, needing to walk in and make dinner and act like a person, with no idea where to put any of what had just happened. Everyone asked how Chris was doing. Almost nobody asked how I was.

Alanna is available at 2am, when the appointment is over and the house is quiet and there is nobody left to call.
